  Australian-Media.com.au launched on February 12 2005 with the simple aim of discussing the Australian media - and for the past five years we have been doing exactly that.
  
  In the years following our highly criticised launch we made a name for ourselves with some dedicated members and various media organisations logging in to our site daily to contribute to our discussion forum.
  
  The Australian-Media.com.au news service was a highly popular addition to our site, bringing in many thousands of visitors with our coverage of some major media events. Some of our news coverage was featured on major media websites and other news services from around the world.
  
  Our members have spent countless hours writing articles and comments, capturing and uploading images and videos and participating in the various activities we have provided over the years to help keep the discussion alive. However, all good things must come to an end and today marks the end of Australian-Media.com.au as we know it.
  
  We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to Australian-Media.com.au over the years. We could not have done it without you.
  
  So, for the final time, thanks for your company and good night!
