STW9 (Perth), and NWS9 (Adelaide) are the only Channel Nine stations not owned by PBL Media, so it may not come as a surprise that PBL are looking to purchase the two channels.
PBL Media Chairman James Packer and Sunraysia Television Chairwoman Eva Presser are reportedly in talks to swap ownership of STW9, as it continues to lose both ratings, and money.
But PBL isn't the only company looking to purchase the two channels; regional broadcaster WIN Television are also in the running. WIN Television currently own 43.65% of Sunraysia after a deal with Kerry Stokes in 1994.
NWS9 (Owned by Southern Cross Television) is also being considered by both PBL Media and WIN Television.
If PBL Media do purchase both stations, they'd own all Nine stations in each capital city. Currently, Nine is the only network who doesn't own stations in each capital city.
More details as they come to hand.
