Channel Nine has dropped stalwart daytime soapie "The Young & The Restess" after 31 continual years of broadcast. It decided not to renew the contract with the distributor in December.

From early April Foxtel will commence broadcasting the popular series.

In its place Channel Nine will air a new daytime talk show, called "The Catch Up" which will be fronted by Libbi Gorr.
