  • Schulter shafts Cummins

    New Channel 7 Brisbane recruit John Schulter has signed a long term contract with the network. Originally hired as a summer fill-in weather presenter to relieve permanent presenter Talitha Cummins while she was on holidays, his performance has led to a full time gig.

    He will be taking over the weekday role permanently, a position Cummins has held since April 2005. Talitha's new role at the station will include presenting the weekend weather and as a fill-in for another recent recruit, weekend newsreader Sharyn Ghidella.

    a shame to see Talitha pushed aside, though not that much of a surprise. BTQ7 has been beating QTQ9 quite often lately.
    Talitha is a great weather presenter, though John is more knowledgable. He also does extra stuff like explaining how the elnino works, reducing global warming tips, water saving tips etc.
    It will still be good to see Talitha present weekend weather and as a fill-in presenter
