Tracey Challenor, the weekend presenter for Seven News in Brisbane, has signed off for the final time. An emotional Challenor thanked viewers for their support over the years, and said she was looking forward to having a break.

It was revealed late last year that Sharyn Ghidella (a newsreader on the Nine Network's Today show) was snapped up by Seven and would replace Challenor. She was then offered a new role with the network, but declined the offer and resigned.

A very sad night for Queensland news. A true professional indeed. Good luck Tracey!

Hi, this is my very first post to AustralianMedia forums, a site that I discovered when I Googled the name of another attractive female journo.

I would like to say it's a shame this babe has left television, on top of the georgeous Bridie Barry's disappearance in 2001 from Cairns screens.

I used to enjoy watching this beautiful newsreader on Seven's Brisbane weekend news bulletins on my regular visits to Cairns.

Tracy will be sadly missed :sadwalk: :(
