Channel Ten personality Rove McManus will return to our screens on April Fools Day on a new night - Sunday at 8.30pm instead of his previous slot of Tuesday at 9.30pm. Rove Live will now go head to head with Grey's Anatomy on Seven, and CSI on Nine.
Since McManus' wife, Belinda Emmett lost her battle with breast cancer, rumours had been rife that he wouldn't return to host his primetime entertainment/variety show, but Rove had always denied he'd stop presenting.
"It's really good to be back at work after so much time away," he said yesterday.
"I assume this means Ten will pay us double time for working the Sunday shift - I got that at the bottle shop I worked at when I was 18." He joked.
Last year Rove's program rated dismally after it was decided the show would switch formats after receiving bad ratings the year before. It's not clear whether the show will have another format change, but looks to be watered down for it's earlier timeslot.
