    Yvette Mooney fighting breast cancer
Following weeks of speculation as to where she had gone, it has now been revealed that Yvette Mooney - the weekend presenter for Seven News in Perth - is suffering from breast cancer. She has undergone treatment which is believed to have been successful in removing the cancer.

Mooney told The Sunday Times that her cancer was "non-aggressive" and that she would not need any more treatment, but has not revealed when she will return to the news desk.

Seven reporter Reece Whitby is currently presenting the weekend bulletin while Mooney recovers. "I have decided to take time off work to concentrate on my recovery,'' she said.

This was a shock to me too. I may dislike her presenting style, but I certainly hope the cancer is completely gone and won't come back again later. Hopefully she won't have to go through this again.

I'm a bit surprised that this hasn't been mentioned on Seven News. I would've thought they could have given her a few seconds to wish her well. There hasn't been one mention of this on the news at all :nonono:
