• 92.9 suffers outage

  Perth radio station 92.9 went off the air at about 5:30pm this afternoon for approximately 20 minutes. It happened during Austereo's national drivetime program, Hamish and Andy was being broadcast across Perth. The cause is currently not known.
  
  Listeners heard nothing but static during the outage. The radio station's streaming website service was also affected.
  
  Transmission resumed just before 6 o'clock with an advertisement followed by the local news.
  
  This was followed by the station's next national program, The Kyle and Jackie O show.
  
  No explanation was provided for the outage.
