The face of Channel Nine in Adelaide, Kevin Crease, has died. He retired from his presenting role last month, after it was revealed he was suffering from cancer. Signs of trouble appeared in February, when his on-air colleague, Rob Kelvin, announced that he was "unwell".

The 71 year old was the first person to appear on Adelaide television over 47 years ago, and has co-presented the station's nightly news bulletin for almost 20 years.

R.I.P. Kev. Fantastic presenter, and a fantastic bloke.

    He'll be missed :(.

Agreed. Someone as well known as he was will most definitely be missed. I hope they dedicate a good part of their bulletin to him tomorrow night.

It'll be an emotional bulletin, that's for sure.

Hopefully Rob will be able to handle it. I imagine it will be a tough bulletin for him tomorrow night (if he presents). Wouldn't be easy losing a friend like that and then having to face the people of the state the following night.

Indeed. You could see how emotional he was when he announced that Kevin had cancer. Looked like he was barely holding back the tears then.
