WIN Television shows no sign of backing down from wanting to buy Channel Nine in Perth. Following Friday's rejection of their initial offer for the station (No WIN for Nine Perth), the regional TV operator has tonight lodged a revised bid for Sunraysia Television.
The new offer, valued at $163.2 million, is $17 million higher than their previous offer and $27 million more than the offer made by PBL Media for the station. In addition, requirements regarding the share buyback process and disclosure of programming agreements were also relaxed. The offer is valid until close of business this Friday.
Sunraysia directors say they will meet as soon as possible to discuss the new offer and will update shareholders on their position accordingly.
