PBL Media and Bruce Gordon's WIN Corporation have shifted their acquisition sights from STW Channel Nine in Perth to NBN Television based in Newcastle, NSW. Both parties are said to be in talks with SP Telemedia, owners of NBN Television, in a deal that could possibly be worth $200 million dollars.

While NBN is not officially for sale, WIN Corporation is one of a number of companies said to be interested in a takeover. A third private equity bidder is also rumored to have approached SP Telemedia regarding the purchase of NBN along with Macquarie Bank.

It comes as PBL Media and WIN Corporation battle it out in a bidding war for STW Channel Nine in Perth, currently owned by Sunraysia Television. WIN Corporation has bid $136.2 million dollars to purchase STW9, $27 million more than the offer lodged by PBL Media.
