  The 5th annual ASTRA Awards, subscription televisions night of nights, has been held at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. Steve Irwin was voted most popular male personality for his documentaries on Animal Planet, while Antonia Kidman was voted most popular female personality for her work on the "W" channel.
  
  Showtime's popular drama "Love My Way" was yet again a big winner with Dan Wyllie winning the award for most outstanding performance by an actor alongside his co-star Asher Keddie who won the award for most outstanding performance by an actress. The program also won the award for most outstanding drama.
  
  Sky News was awarded the ASTRA for most outstanding news program or coverage for the week that changed Australia, the death of Steve Irwin and Peter Brock, while journalist and host of Sky News' Agenda program, David Speers, won the award for most outstanding performance by a presenter.
  
  FOX Sports won the award for most outstanding sports coverage for the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the most outstanding lifestyle, reality or light entertainment program went to FOX8's Australia's Next Top Model.
  
  Other winners include FOX8's Rock Star Supernova for most outstanding International program or event, the Discovery Channel's American Chopper for favourite International program, the 2006 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for the most outstanding program event, the 2006 BMX Games on FUEL TV won the award for most outstanding sports program and Wolfmother Live on MTV was awarded most outstanding music program.
