  • Weekend jail for Seven News chief Peter Meakin

    Seven Network news and current affairs boss Peter Meakin has been found guilty of dangerous driving and sentenced to at least 14 months weekend detention after he fled from a police breath testing unit on Sydney's Northern Beaches, nearly hitting a police officer.

    Meakin has also been found guilty of drink driving and has had his license suspended for 8 years.

    wtf :blink: What a stupid comment that is. No one will find prison "easy" :dontknow:

    Ten News in Brisbane is reporting that he is banned from Driving for 8 Years, not Jailed :unsure:

    He has been sentenced to 14 months periodic detention, which is basically part-time jail usually for 2-3 days per week for the duration of the sentence.
