The mother of convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby, Rosleigh Rose, is suing the Seven Network for defamation over allegations that were broadcast on Seven's top rating public affairs program Today Tonight earlier this year.
Today Tonight ran a paid interview with former friend of Schapelle, Jodie Power, in which she made drug allegations against the Corby family.
The claims were dismissed by the family, described as being "hurtful" and "untrue". The family are now suing for defamation, for unspecified damages.
Ms Rose's lawyer Bill Kalantzis said that the network had opted to have the matter heard by a jury. The case has been adjourned until next month.
