The Seven Network is the big winner in revenue according to figures released by Free TV Australia today. Seven's share of the revenue pie has jumped to 39.18%, the highest it has ever been outside the period of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Seven jumped from a 36.42% share in the corresponding period last year while Nine dropped from 36.58% to 32.72%, Ten increased its share from 27% to 28.1%. The total value of the January to July 2007 advertising market was $1.74b, an increase of 6.573% from 2006.
The Adelaide market was the poorest performing sector with growth of only 0.633%, Sydney was the fastest growing metropolitan market growing at close to 9% followed by Perth on 7%. The regional sector grew at a higher rate than the city with the revenue in Queensland up by 10.525% with New South Wales growing the second fastest.
