  • Seven Melbourne offices raided by Police

UPDATED | Channel Seven's Docklands office in Melbourne has been raided by police officers today, to investigate the theft of medical records after a report aired on the network exposing AFL players from a Victorian club have used drugs.

Channel Seven is co-operating with the investigation, with police confirming they have seized a number of documents.

Victorian police said that detectives attended the Docklands offices earlier this morning, seizing medical documents they believed have been stolen.

An anonymous female sold the medical documents to Channel Seven, saying she had found the document abandoned in a gutter out the front of a rehabilitation clinic in Melbourne.

Although the players weren't named in the report aired last week, the Victorian club was. Since then a court injunction had been issued for neither the players nor clubs to be named.

UPDATE: Police have arrested a male and female over stealing the medical documents, and then selling them to the Seven Network. AFL players are now considering a boycott of the Brownlow medal, which this year is broadcast on Seven.
