Following the purchase and publication of medical records by Channel Seven which exposed several AFL players of using drugs, the AFL's Player's Association plans a silent protest against the Seven Network, refusing to speak about any matter concerning AFL.
AFL Chief Andrew Demetriou spoke on Melbourne radio station SEN about the players' anger and disgust towards Channel Seven on not just this incident, but also the publicity surrounding the Braun / Akermanis incident.
Demetriou is disgusted with the Seven Network for purchasing the medical records in the first place.
Despite the hard feelings towards Channel Seven Demetriou believes players who decide to boycott Channel Seven's Brownlow Medal award ceremony will not benefit because there are some players who will have the opportunity to win one of the awards.
Australian-Media.com.au reported yesterday on the raid by Police on Seven’s Docklands office in Melbourne. The male and female responsible for stealing the medical records were arrested yesterday.
