After 40 years in the media industry, 27 of those as a weatherman, National Nine News Adelaide meteorologist Keith Martyn will bow out from Television, saying that it's time to slow down, and that "It's more time for the family now."

    How ironic!

I guess that means no more South Australian Almanacs, then. :P

:clapping:. I'll miss the old SA Almanacs.

He was a great weatherman and the standout of the N9N Adelaide team. :)

And you know what this means, don't you?

It means that the unfunny twit known as Xavier Minniecon will end up doing the weather on weekdays, and no replacement for the weekend weather will be forthcoming.

It would be nice if his replacement was someone as equally well versed in all matters meteorological.

Alas, I fear that yet another commercial bulletin will opt for the "weather skank" option- some pretty young thing who can barely string a sentence together without stumbling... someone who wouldn't know an anemometer from a barometer.

Whisper is that not even Seven's well respected weather guru, David Brown, is safe from the weather skank phenomenon. Did they learn nothing from GTV 9's disasterous ousting of Rob Gell for that Nixon bimbo?

    Disgraceful if that's true.

We have blonde bimbos presenting weather, a glut of reports about various blonde bimbos, and some news bulletins are even anchored by blonde bimbos.

We even have one in the Labor Party trying to become deputy PM. Is this really what people want? I hope not.

that's a bit of stereotyping, the only blonde disaster i know is the Inok disaster, and what's that got to do with politics? Julia Gillard is a redhead, not a blonde

And another blonde disaster is on DWTS as we speak. ;)

But I digress. Jaynie Seal became a pretty good weatherwoman, but considering husband Ed's losing his show, it's a pretty safe bet she'll be boned too. :(

Meanwhile, the thought of seeing Xavier Minniecon on a weeknightly basis makes me want to do this: :puke:

    It's true...

Supposed to be Chris Judd's girlfriend, Rebecca Twigley. Noted she was featured in the Brownlow fashion report on Seven's self promoting news the other night. Can't remember what was bigger news that night- Brownlow fashion or Kate Ritchie leaving H&A.

An example of her wonderful weather presenting can be seen on You Tube.

Sydneysiders have to suffer with Sarah Groan on ATN, it's only fair HSV get Twig girl.

It's only a rumour at this stage, but with S.Carey running the newsroom at HSV nothing would surprise me.

She was already terrible as a fill-in for Jane on Ten News, so I laughed at the fact she was going to SAS7
