  • Clinton Grybas dead

    January 5 2008 12:04pm (UTC+8)  -  Article by Slj

Fox Sports and 3AW sports commentator Clinton Grybas has been found dead at his apartment in Melbourne.

He is believed to have died last night, there were no suspicious circumstances. The alarm was raised when he failed to turn up for his Sunday morning sports show on 3AW.

Grybas, 32, began his career at ABC Radio in 1995 and switched to 3AW in 2001 where he called AFL matches. In 2002 the Fox Footy channel snapped him up as their lead commentator and as host of the nightly program White Line Fever, which lasted until the end of 2006. In 2007 his commentary role continued on Fox Sports and he maintained his role on 3AW calling football.

Commentating on his passing 3AW general manager Graham Mott said "He's just one of those genuinely brilliant people who is very good at what he did and a terrific bloke as well."

"At a time like this, while you can think about the wonderful things he did it's still hard to get over the fact he's gone, no longer with us."

"We wish his family and friends the best at a most difficult time for everybody"
