  • Natalia Cooper quits Nine

    April 10 2008 4:08pm (UTC+8)  -  Article by Slj

Nine Perth weather presenter and WIN Newsreader Natalia Cooper today resigned from the station after five years. She says she is leaving the station to travel overseas.

Cooper joined the station as a cadet in 2003, and in 2004 she replaced Todd Johnston as the weather presenter for the nightly bulletin. In 2005 she began filling in as a newsreader on weekend bulletins and late last year she was appointed as the newsreader for the WIN News WA bulletin which is presented from the Perth studios of STW.

Natalia has been a big hit on regular school visits and is also a very popular member of the National Nine and WINE NEWS teams.

Anyway - it's sad to see Natalia leave, but I know I speak for all when I wish all the best for her future.

I heard somewhere that Natalia will still be on air for about another 2 months.

If that is the case then I'm surprised this announcement was made so early

Gotta hate those bastards that think they're cool by not following the rules, eh?
Don't know about Cooper, don't care.

It sn't a case of disliking someone's personal preferences towards a particularly presenter, but when those views about the APPEARANCE of that person are highlighted in an AM posting then the response will be swift :)
